Oct 28 (Jeny)

We are here! Dad is at IMED now and taking some time to rest. The doctor came in and looked him over, asked a lot of questions, etc. He seems like a really good doctor. The only new thing we found out from the new doctor is that there is some "moderate" tendon injury in his right shoulder which hurts him quite a bit when it is moved around. He still favors his right side. He has been talking and is doing really well so far in the new hospital. It is a very nice facility and very tall! (We are on the 12th floor and Emily and I do NOT like heights!) That is pretty much it for now. He has a lot of work to do for the next few weeks. (Oh, by the way, the doctor told us that there is no set time frame for his rehab, like we previously thought, so we don't know exactly how long he will be here. It will depend on the progress he makes. We initally thought it was a 4 week program, so we will have to see.) We will keep you updated. Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers.

Just wondering, when he IS transfered home will he be able to climb steps? If not how are you going to give him access to the house since upon entering the house you have to climb up or down to get to any particular floor.

Hi Heather,
I don't know if you remember me, it's been a long time. Your family is so cute, congrats on your kids! My mom might be able to answer this better, but I think we just have to see how his rehab goes and see what he is able to do when they decide he is ready to go home. The doctor did ask us today what home is like and we told him about the stairs, so I think we just have to wait and see. I really hope he will be able to handle the stairs, the doctor today said that he doesn't see any problem with dad being able to walk, which is great!! Right now it's just very painful for him to get up and try to hold his own weight, he has to have two people helping him, so it will probably take a while. Thanks for following his blog, I know it will mean a lot to him once he can read it himself:)
Take care,
Jeny

Levi,
Glad to hear about your progress. All those hours in the wrestling room and on the old cinder track in Green River are going to pay off now! Dig deep and work hard to get better!!! You have it in you to get better.

So glad to hear he is moved and settled in. Especially to be closer to home. That will be better for all. Levi has that hard work ethic and has kept himself in good shape, all of that will payoff now. Day by day, he continues to improve, thankfully. What a wonderful family he has, I am sure that has made all the difference.
Hey Kelly, have you learned any new stitches yet? Take a pic of you work and post it.
